IN STASIS is inspired by the altered perception of external sounds during hypnagogic state of consciousness. The main idea was to use tape recorders playing tape loops of different lengths, slowly shifting and phasing out from each other while sounds of a DIY prepared box and/or guitars are processed through micro -loopers and time-based effects. By blending those signals all together, an ethereal and lofi static soundscape emerged, close to the blurry perception of sounds we have in a meditative state or at the borderland of sleep.
